In 2009 she started spending time on and off the beautiful island of Seychelles and has represented some of the most luxurious brands as an International Model including JOUEL, ZilAir, Eden Bleu Hotel, Denis Private Island, Masons Travel, Aqua Boutique Hotel and Air Seychelles to mention a few. Alma was even the face of Today Newspaper.

Alma also has vast experience in teaching inspiring models in all aspects of the industry and how to become successful in their field. In October 2020, she was invited by Miss Stephanie Duval, the Chairman of Beauty Empowerment Seychelles to teach runway, photo-movement, and etiquette to the contestants of Miss Seychelles National Pageant. In September 2021, Alma was again invited to prepare the winner of Miss Seychelles, Kelly-Mary Anette for the 49th Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant held at Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Alma assisted Kelly-Mary in perfecting her runway, interviewing skills, public speaking, and with her own gifted talent, Kelly-Mary went on to win the prestigious award of Miss Africa.

Why was White Feather Fund created.

Alma is often asked why White Feather Fund was created and her story begins like this. Alma was invited to attend a charity fundraising event held at Sail Training Scheme in Roche Caiman, sponsored by Beauty Empowerment Seychelles and Miss Seychelles National Pageant. At this particular event, children from orphanages and people from local communities were invited to come and support, donate, and participate in fun activities including sailing, kayaking, and swimming. It was at this charity event where Alma first met the wonderful nuns and sweet charismatic boys from Foyer de Nazareth, one of the orphanages in Seychelles.

She was so touched seeing the boys smile and enjoy the simple things most of us take for granted that she started asking questions about the boys at the orphanage. With the support and gracious approval from social services, Alma began visiting often and making sure to bring toys, cake and ice cream, her childhood favorite. Alma also grew up in a broken home and her house was even burnt down from a faulty electrical problem. She even remembers at ten years old given support from American Red Cross, a non-profit humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance and disaster relief, so she knows what it is like to lose everything and have nothing. Alma realized her mission in life was to pay it forward by giving back and making a real difference by creating an NGO that would primarily assist in additional education, life skills and continued support so the young boys and girls could have the things they need the most as they grow into adulthood. “We’re all here for a reason and each and every one of us has a mission and purpose in life, and I have finally found mine”.
