Kim Pockpas
Secretary
My name is Kim Pockpas and I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. My family was very involved with lifesaving in the Cape, and I spent my childhood and teenage years training and volunteering as a lifeguard on the beaches of the False Bay Coastline and the community Pools of Mitchell’s Plain. After graduating from high school, I qualified in Public Relations, Copywriting and Professional Photography and worked in the Hospitality Industry and then in the Biotech industry working for a Stem cell research and development company. I moved to Seychelles in early 2007 and took up work in Business Development for Zil Air Ltd, a helicopter charter company for a few years. I now work in an executive capacity in Property Management in the South of Mahe for the past 13 years.
I have always loved helping other people further their careers through personal development mechanisms and platforms; So, I was very pleased when Alma and team approached me to be part of the White Feather Fund. I feel very privileged to be able to take up this opportunity to work with such a dynamic team for the first time in an NGO. Consequently, I am very excited to start taking strides in helping the association achieve its endeavors and contribute to meaningful change in the Seychelles.
